Data Sources & Transparency Matrix
Data Sources & Methodology
State360 is committed to presenting useful location-based information in a clear and transparent manner. This page explains the primary sources and general methodology used to collect, verify and organize information across the platform.
Different categories of information require different sources and update processes. Precious metal prices, holiday calendars and power shutdown schedules are therefore handled according to the nature of the underlying data.
Our objective is to use reliable publicly available information, official publications and authoritative reference sources wherever available, while presenting the resulting information in a simple state-wise and city-wise format.
How State360 Uses Data Sources
State360 does not treat every information category in the same way. The source and update process depends on the type of information being published.
Our general approach includes:
- Identifying a suitable and relevant source for each category.
- Collecting publicly available information from that source.
- Checking dates, locations and other relevant details.
- Converting information into a consistent format where necessary.
- Organizing the information by state, city or service area.
- Reviewing available updates and corrections.
- Displaying the information in a format that is easier for users to understand.
Where information originates from an official authority or an officially published document, that source is given priority for the relevant category.
Gold Rate Data
State360 provides city-wise gold rate information using publicly available market-reference data. The information is organized for locations covered by the platform and may include commonly tracked purity categories such as 24K, 22K and 18K.
Gold prices are market-sensitive and can change over time. The price available to a consumer at a jewellery store may differ from the reference rate displayed on State360 because of purity, making charges, taxes, local market conditions, seller margins and other applicable costs.
For this reason, State360 gold rates should be treated as reference information rather than a guaranteed retail quotation.
Users making a purchase should confirm the final price, purity, applicable charges and invoice details directly with the seller.
Silver Rate Data
Silver rate information on State360 is collected from publicly available market-reference sources and presented in a city-specific format.
Silver prices can be influenced by international markets, currency movements, industrial demand, investment demand and broader commodity-market conditions. Retail prices may additionally include product-specific costs, workmanship, taxes, premiums and seller margins.
The silver rates displayed on State360 are therefore intended as reference information. The final price of jewellery, coins, bars or other silver products should be confirmed with the relevant seller.
Bank Holiday Data
State360's bank holiday information is based on an officially published holiday calendar for the relevant year and is organized into a state-wise format for easier reference.
The holiday calendar used by State360 provides the applicable banking holidays for different states and union territories. It also accounts for scheduled weekly banking closures where applicable, including the relevant Saturday and Sunday closures.
The source calendar is reviewed and the information is structured into State360's bank holiday pages so users can quickly identify holidays applicable to their location.
Bank holiday schedules can occasionally be revised or supplemented by the relevant authority or institution. For an important banking transaction, users should confirm the latest branch-level information with their bank.
Public Holiday Data
Public holiday information is compiled from officially published holiday notifications and authoritative reference materials applicable to individual states and union territories.
Holiday schedules can differ between states because of regional festivals, cultural observances and government decisions. State360 organizes these dates into state-specific pages to make the information easier to find and use.
Where an official notification or revised schedule changes a previously published holiday, the information may be updated accordingly.
For employment, administrative or other official purposes, users should refer to the applicable government notification or authority.
Power Shutdown Data
State360's Tamil Nadu scheduled power shutdown information is sourced from the official TNEB/TNPDCL website, which publishes planned power outage details for applicable areas.
The official outage information can include details such as the affected circle or area and the date of a planned shutdown. State360 organizes the available information into a more convenient format so users can search and understand scheduled power interruptions more easily.
Because planned maintenance schedules can change, a shutdown may be revised, postponed, extended or cancelled by the concerned electricity utility. State360 therefore treats the published schedule as time-sensitive information.
For critical requirements, users should verify the latest status with the relevant electricity utility.
Official and Authoritative Sources
Where an official source is available for a particular category, State360 gives priority to that source when collecting and verifying information.
For example, the scheduled Tamil Nadu power shutdown information is sourced from the official TNEB/TNPDCL website. The bank holiday calendar is based on an officially published holiday list for the applicable year.
This source-first approach helps reduce reliance on unofficial summaries when authoritative information is available.
Location-Based Organization
A key part of the State360 methodology is organizing information according to location.
The same type of information can have different values, schedules or applicability depending on the state or city. For this reason, State360 maintains location-specific pages wherever the underlying data supports such organization.
Examples include:
- City-wise gold rates
- City-wise silver rates
- State-wise bank holidays
- State-wise public holidays
- Area-specific power shutdown information
This structure allows users to focus on information relevant to their location instead of filtering through unrelated nationwide information.
Data Review and Quality Checks
State360 applies reasonable quality checks when processing information for publication. Depending on the category, these checks may include reviewing source information, checking dates, validating state or city mappings and maintaining consistent formatting.
Where data is updated by an external source, State360 may need to update its information after the source itself publishes a change.
We aim to correct identified errors and keep information current, but no data aggregation process can guarantee that every external change will be reflected immediately.
Understanding Reference Information
Some information on State360 is inherently subject to change.
Gold and silver prices can change with market conditions. Bank and public holiday schedules can be revised. Power shutdown plans can change because of operational requirements, weather, emergency maintenance or other circumstances.
Therefore, State360 should be considered a convenient information and reference platform rather than a replacement for an official authority when an official confirmation is required.
Data Source Transparency
State360 aims to be transparent about the origin and nature of the information presented on the platform.
Where appropriate, relevant pages identify the source or source category so users can understand the basis of the information. We do not represent third-party information as information created or issued by State360.
State360's role is to collect, organize and present information in a useful format for users across India.
Future Data Sources and Tools
State360 will continue to expand its coverage with additional state-specific and city-specific tools and information services.
As new categories are introduced, each category will use an appropriate source and methodology based on the nature of the information. Official government, utility or institutional sources will be preferred wherever suitable official information is available.
Our objective is to build a broader location-focused information platform while maintaining clarity about how the information is sourced and presented.
Our Commitment
State360 aims to provide information that is useful, transparent and easy to access. We will continue reviewing our data sources and improving our processes as the platform grows.
For time-sensitive, financial, administrative or service-related decisions, users should always verify the latest information with the relevant official authority, institution or service provider.
